It's not completely 100% sanitary but you can. I'm a professional cook, and if i'm at home i would put it back in the fridge till i needed it. The longest I would put off using it is three days and if it's the third day i'd check it out before cooking it.

yes, but only for a short period of time before cooking it. I don't think I would wait more than a day. Chicken does not keep well so be very careful about keeping it long. The same goes for pork, which will rot from the inside out so definetly do not keep it for long unless frozen.
Most good cookbooks will have information on this.

Yes but I would eat it the next day and wash everything the raw chicken touched. Raw chicken is very dangerous. But it is okay a couple days in the fridge.

Yes, but not for long, & don't try to re-freeze it.
If it's still wrapped & sealed, a day may be safe.
But why not cook it in the oven anyway, then store it.
It'll keep much better, because cooking kills bacteria.

yup, I've done it plenty of times. Just make sure that you make it within the next two days and don't wait too long to cook it.

I think it's alright as long as it's still cold.but out to long and it warms to room tempurature it's best to go ahead and bake it or boil it for the next days meal.
the next day only heat up what you think you will eat of it that next day.
