The F-sixteen hasn't been present day in a decade and extra. The Rafael, hurricane and a super type of others have it outclassed. F-sixteen grow to be in no way a adventure for the F-15, The Rafael, is a era later, the hurricane and SAAB Gripen are far extra perfect. Then there is an entire new set coming alongside. Killing F-16s with an F-22 may well be virtually trivial. There may well be situations under which a Harrier might get the extra perfect of an F-sixteen, however the Harrier is an old and under powered jet in comparison to the F-sixteen. The F-sixteen grow to be in no way that a good distance merely before the interest, whilst Israel re-engined and refitted their F4s they have been given a plane that should maintain larger turn fees and had extra perfect electronics than the F-sixteen. interior the long term a missile engagement drives an plane's capability state down and decreases its situational expertise by making it turn faraway from the risk, yet missiles are not magic bullets and the countermeasures the following day will handle the magic missiles of as we communicate. that is an arms race and we can in user-friendly terms attain stability if we run out of money. An F-4 with a next era radar and missiles might nonetheless be a severe risk to as we communicate's wonderkint. Even stealth is in user-friendly terms a short term benefit, later radar and lidar will negate those reward. extra recent missiles that look impossible to ward off, confuse or decoy would be invented and defeated.

No, There have been a few jet fighter airplanes that were made by assembling parts of fighters that have been scrapped, but the air force won't allow just anybody to buy a fighter unless it's obsolete. I would not be surprised if John Travolta or some billionaire buys an F 14 from Iran in the near future.
Modern fighters cost too much money for fuel and maintenance.

Negative...I hope. The US sells planes like the F-16 to allies, but would hope that Joe Schmoo can't just go out and but a world class fighter aircraft. Even without weapons the f-16 and other aircraft in our inventory can do some serious damage

nope
1 Some of the technology involved in the F-16 is still not cleared for Civilian use.

2 I believe that it is still illegal for a Civilian to own and operate an Aircraft that is Mach 1+ capable. I could be mistaken but I do not believe I am.

3 If anyone could buy one they could then resell it to anyone, such as China or Iran. Not something our government wants to see.

You can get almost anything you just have to know the right markets. I'm sure that there are many places in the world where you would be able to a newer fighter jet for the right amount of cash.

I understand that the actor who played Worf on Startrek owns a T-33 that he likes to fly.

Anything that is still militarily viable would be hard to get, but not impossible. You would have to be able to afford it first, secondly I'm sure there would be rather hefty security and background checks, and last the aircraft would be completely demilitarized. Any military specific or possibly restricted technology would be stripped before you could take ownership of it. And of course, you'd need to get it before some of nation's air force bought it to upgrade their fleet.

Many of the F-16 aircraft get bought fairly quick on the world market. But, you can usually get the cheaper aircraft like Russian MIGs, no one wants those. LOL!
Here a MIG-15 the price been reduced because no one wants it. :-D

Well, a few years ago there was a genuine ad for a Mig 21 priced at $50,000. The seller said he would fly it to any airport in the US that could handle it. I think the law is stricter now-maybe the FAA could tell you.
