We have been dating for a year and 2 months now... The dance is in like two weeks. Why hasnt he asked me yet? What the heck? He hasnt even said ANYTHING about it since like summer?

maybe since you and him have been together so long, that he already assumes that you and him are going and he thinks he shouldnt have to ask...

He may not know that he has to ask, since he assumes that you two will just be going as a part of the whole boyfriend-girlfriend thing.
Tell you what - ask him this: "Hey, if someone askes me to the homecoming thingy, should I say yes, or tell them that you're probably gonna ask me?"

maybe he assumes that since you two have been dating for such a long time that its just a given that you will go with him. Talk to him and tell him that even though you are together, you would still like to be asked traditionally.

You should ask him or just bring the dance up in a conversation and see what he says if he doesn't say anything.. just ask him

Maybe he just assumes since you are exclusive that you understand ya'll are going together. Just casually ask what he is wearing and see what he says.
