Go to Canada. You haven't seen the new sign on the Statue of Liberty. It says "No Vacancy"

You don't say what your current citizenship is, but neither country is a guarantee of gaining citizenship. It is a long and difficult process to go through, with many 'hoops' to jump through and no guarantee that you will be granted citizenship in the end. Do you have family in one country or the other? That could help show ties to the country. Which of the two is better based on opportunity is totally a matter of choice. You need to do your homework, beginning with what matters to you. Which government represents your belief system better? Don't go by current administrations, but rather the totality of the history of each country. Then, which country has the social systems that you value? Which country has more opportunity in your chosen profession? If you already have a degree, then a master's from either country, as long as you choose a good school, will help you get to your profession. I don't know that a master's will necessarily help you gain citizenship. At any rate, you have to be ready to pledge your allegiance to your country of choice and give up your citizenship of your native country.

Well, I'm prejudiced; I live in Canada & I'm now a citizen.
I visit the States for the winter, because it's cold here.
But I wouldn't want to live or work in the US.
We have health care, better schools, & less discrimination.
Toronto is the most cosmopolitan city in the world (I think).

I don't think there are any guarantees. My understanding is that the path is easier in Canada, but if you 'make it' the pay may be higher in the US.

However, I sure wouldn't bet my future on that sort of rumor.

I'd say America. Stuff is cheaper to buy in America then in Canada.

As an American I think you will be happier in Canada. The government will "spoil you more".
Have a nice life!

Forget US, choose Canada. If you get sick in the US you will go broke. If you get sick in Canada, at least medical cover is free. Then you can just pop across the border to the US whenever you need to

US, We already have enough people milking our system here in Canada. The US is super-rich and can afford blood suckers leaching off of their system.
