Its been a good couple of years since I last went to a concert. (Back when Jimmy Eat World was touring with Blink182 and Green Day). Now I've discovered a new band Chiodos. They're coming to Austin and I really want to go. My friend, who is also coincedentally a guy that I like, is offering to take me as an early birthday present. My dad is hesitant to letting me go, and my step mother is the last "yay" or "nay". I told my dad that we were going to just see Chiodos and then leave for home. (A good 30-45min. away.) He complains that its a school night, but the show starts at 5:30. He complains about no parental guidance, but the Physics teacher is going as well, with her son. He complains about transportation, but my friend's parent is going to drive us there and pick us up. I see nothing wrong here. Can anyone offer me advice etc?

Obviously, the 4th responder, didn't read my question in detail. I said that a couple of years back I saw Jimmy Eat World and Blink182 and GreenDay. One's musical preference does change over time as maturity is gained. Plus, its kinda hard to see Hendrix, Joplin, or Morrison in real life, isn't it?
I meant that Chiodos is my recent fav. band. That's all.
