One thing to keep in mind is what will the mortuary allow you to play.

Most of them frown on punk rap hip hop etc.

Here are some good country songs that get to the point.

Go Rest High On That Mountain -- Vince Gill
Tears In Heaven -- Eric Clapton
Holes In The Floor Of Heaven -- Steve Wariener.
Free Bird -- Lynyrd Skynyrd (my friend had this played at her funeral)

I found out my mother-in-law passed away this afternoon, hopefully I don't have to supply any music ideas.

I can help others but when it comes to myself ... I draw a blank.

My mom just passed away also. The song that I like the most is "one more day" by Diamond Rio. It makes me think of her everytime I hear it. Its a sweet song. Listen to it and consider it. Sorry for your loss, I know the pain.

Try the song "He Ain't Heavy, He's my Brother" by B.J. Thomas or Glen Campbell. I think the lyrics are nice.

Why not ask his friends instead of strangers who don't know your brother? I'm sorry for your loss but it would mean so much more coming from them.

I have a favorite by Tim Mcgraw, " Remember Me ", that would be a good one, and it's country.

Write a song and sing it!!! If you are not a good singer find some one that is. Your Brother would appreciate that.
