Mat:16:
13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?
14 And they said, Some say that thou art John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets.
15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.
John 9:
35 Jesus heard that they had cast him out; and when he had found him, he said unto him, Dost thou believe on the Son of God?
36 He answered and said, Who is he, Lord, that I might believe on him?
37 And Jesus said unto him, Thou hast both seen him, and it is he that talketh with thee.
38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped him.
John 14:
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
This is how Jesus answers your question.

God came to earth as perfect God and perfect Man (Jesus) as the new Adam to redeem mankind back to Himself. Jesus was begotten from the Virgin Mary through the power of the Holy Spirit to be a sacrifice for all of man's sins. God had told Adam and Eve not to eat of the tree of knowledge or they would die, not just physically but spiritually. Mankind has always wanted to do what they wanted to versus following God's way. God created us to commune with Him. We are made in His image meaning we can create, communicate, love and reason. But God loves us so much that He didn't want us to spend eternity in Hell or be eternally separated from Him so He came to earth as a perfect man without sin in order to die for us and pay our debt to God - redeemed. If we then believe that God did this for us, and believe in Jesus, then at judgment, God will only see Jesus' perfection on us and not our sin - justification. We will then through faith receive the Holy Spirit and have not only part of Heaven in us but Christ's mind as well.

are you serious?
he was that guy that the new testament of the christian bible was written on. son of god, allegedly. might've existed and been mythologized (such as st nick to santa claus) or might not have existed.
those christians base their whole life on his teaching (or so they say. i know quite a few that just go by what their pastors say without much knowlege of the bible at all), jews have differing oppinions from what i hear. many that i know just think of him as a good teacher and all.
