Now don't get me wrong I don't believe that everybody is going to heaven either but I find it hard to believe that the majority of the world is going to hell. Am I wrong for having this belief? This question is meant mostly for my fellow Christians but all are welcome to answer as well.

Hi,
I was devoutly religious and dedicated to my Christian beliefs when I was younger. I then went through a testing time that challenged my faith and made me start to question everything I had been taught to believe in my childhood. I believe in the teachings of Jesus and of the bible but I have strayed a little from the 'one path' that is the direct link to Heaven. Because Christians believe the only way to God and Heaven is through Jesus.
I can't accept that a loving and just God will turn each and every other person in this world away just because they followed a different path or religion. Personally I don't think you are wrong in believing the majority of the world can't possibly be going to hell. Christians I think would disagree.

Christians believe that only those who accept jesus as their savior and become born again, and also asking God's forgiveness, will go to heaven. So yes, that is a good majority of the world that will be going to hell. Having that belief isnt wrong if you're a Christian, but i cant guarantee that some other religion will think you are wrong. Lots of people believe in different things..that is why there are so many different religions in the world.

If you are a believer, then you know the Word to be the truth. In John 14:6-9 it tells you the way to the Father. Don't conform to the world, stick to the Word! If you start making God out to be the way the world wants Him to be, then you are only creating your own form of God...which is idolatry. Additionally, no one is free of sin; not even someone that's been a good person their entire life. As for being a Christian, it's time you go out and tell others about Christ and share your testimony...be a good witness. May the Lord guard your heart and place a hedge of protection around you. Take care and God bless.

Well, I know how you feel, I too feel sorry for all those misguided and non-believers that are not going to enter heaven. I do believe that all non believers are going to hell because the bible tells us so:

Matthew 12:30 "He who is not with me is against me"

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

Acts 4:12 "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men that must be saved."
I hope these verses help you under stand that no non-believers may enter heaven.

I have struggled with this too---though you could only call me a Christian in the loosest sense of the term (and that's the way I like it, lol. Long story).

Anyway, no---I do not believe that the majority of the world is going to hell. That idea defeats humanity and goodness in a million ways. For example; why create people just to send them to hell? Silly. And free will in religion is a joke. It's always "Worship me or get tortured for eternity". Not much of a "free will" kinda choice in my opinion.

I am sure you may get some deeply conservative religious people answering your question as well. They often seem to enjoy---straight up ENJOY---telling everyone that they're bound for hell. And they will have the Biblical scripture to back them up.

The choice on what to believe is always yours. I have found that my heart, my prayers (asked and answered) and my thoughts have more value than a book written by men and changed a hundred times for political and social reasons. Just my opinion though....

Good luck, and God Bless. I know it's a tough struggle.

I don't think you're wrong! I think that's the misconception of why many Christians are criticized on this site. I think many people of all faiths will go to heaven- God knows our hearts! However, I am with you on believing not everyone is going to heaven! Have a great day/night!!!!!

Twist, your belief is your belief, "wrong" is relative I guess. Normally Christians believe the words of Jesus that state you must believe and accept Him to go to heaven. If we have no guideline for what is acceptable, how could we know our choices? Just my thought on it. Gods peace to you

I personally am atheist, but if there is a god, I would have a hard time buying that someone can live a good life, but will still go to hell for not believing in a certain god.
