To go out on a limb here but Black Sabbath just may have been the first Christian rock band! At least in the early years ... Really!

The song you bring up "War Pigs" deals with politicians and world leaders and how they are destroying the world with wars. In the first part, they paint a picture of these leaders as being the true evils of this world, referring to them as “Sorcerers of death’s construction” and comparing them to “witches at black masses”. It is in the second part of the song that he admonishes them, telling them to “wait ‘till their judgment day comes, yeah!” Finally, in the last verse Ozzy gets religious:

No more war pigs have the power

Hand of God has struck the hour

Day of judgment, God is calling

On their knees, the war pigs crawling

Begging mercy for their sins

Satan, laughing, spreads his wings

So the bad guys lose and get to spend an eternity in Hell with Satan, whom the Sabbath guys doesn’t seem to be worshipping in this one. See? Christian rock.

Ozzy Osbourne was the lead singer for Black Sabbath, the first heavy metal band, from 1968 - 1979. Then he became a heavy metal solo artist, which he still is. And somewhere along the years he starred in reality TV and created the Ozzfest. Also, he bit the head off of a dove once and later ate the head off of a bat at a concert.

War pigs was sung by Ozzy Ozbourne, but was by Black Sabbath. Spiritual? No. I see it as hippi speech.

wow, havent heard that one in awhile...the main part of the song is complaining about the corrupt politicians sending the poor masses to their deaths while they sit comfy and cozy. The last verse though, that certainly does have spiritual overtones....
