Every afternoon, must be after kindy of something, the kids are out the back, doing that famous AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!! scream on the top of thier lungs. There doesn't appear to be much discipline going on - you know the type, PARENTING> I am considering putting some literature about basically, how to control the kids - in thier letterbox that i have just printed off the net. It is driving me crazy - i really don't think they care about the neighbourhood or raising thier kids to be respectful.

i mean, i can handle normal kids play screams, but this sounds like somebody is killing them.

And to the person who said i don't know anything about my neighbours and they may be mentally disabled, ,, i did forget to mention, i see the parents hanging out on the balcony, smoking and drinking and playing very very loud music on every other day. so, if there was a mentally challenged child, i am sure there would be more love and teaching from the parents.

I wouldn't do anything like that, putting pamplets in their mailbox. They may catch you and try to press charges as messing with mail (regardless of if you were putting something there) is a federal offense.
I would call child services and see what advice they can give to you. If that gets you no where (and I'd hate to say this in the etiquette section), lie! Tell them you have some type of condition (heart condition is always something serious) and that loud noises such as loud music and screaming choldren upset you ... don't tell them their screaming children annoy you, use it as a general statement and see where it goes from there.

Omg, I know what you mean.
The kids that live in the house behind mine scream for hours and hours and it drives me up the wall, and it's really ear-piercing.
I have 3 kids of my own and heaven help if they scream and not have a good reason for it. If one of mine screams and is badly hurt, then that's understandable, but I won't tolerate it from my kids at any other time.
The mother in the house out the back occasionally complains about my sons swearing, so the next time she says anything to me, I'll say "well, if you keep your kids quiet and stop them from screaming, I stop my kids from swearing" (My kids get into trouble for swearing anyway, it's not something that I encourage).
Yeah, sounds like a good idea to place some literature in their letter-box, after all, in your own house, you are entitled to peace and quiet.
Edit: Yeah, here too. The little girl out the back is 3(and yes, I have a 3 year old too, who doesn't scream), and when she screams, it's very loud, very ear-piercing and she does it when she doesn't get her own way. It goes on for hours and the parents just say quietly, "please don't scream".
Firmer action needs to be taken. I think some parents have no idea of the effect on neighbours when their kids are like this. If my kids are being too noisy in the backyard, they get told off and I also tell them to keep it down because the neighbours don't like hearing all that racket.
And to the knockers, people do have a right to live in their residence with a reasonable amount of peace and quiet.

Move Jennifer if you don't like it. You are presuming the kids are screaming due to bad parenting how small minded are you????
You do not know anything about your neighbors maybe the kids are mentally disabled and can't help it. Get over yourself and try and bring some warmth into that cold heart of yours.
So what if the parents drink,smoke and play loud music every other day !!! Maybe you should get a job/hobby and stop stickybeaking at what your neighbours are up to. And remember happy thoughts for a warm and loving heart.

Call the police and make a noise complaint. Bratty, screaming children are just as annoying as a barking dog. Eventually the parents will get the hint after a couple of fines.

terrific 'education' for parenthood EVER!! it would supply up people from having unrealistic expectancies. a minimum of people might develop into father and mom understanding what to assume so they does no longer develop into so under pressure while their 'suitable' plans became out to be finished chaos! it is real that youngsters are the terrific excitement in existence yet besides the undeniable fact that...all you assert is likewise real!!!

Well heres what you do,go nextdoor where the kids parents live and talk to them about this and If that doesnt work than call their landlord! That always works!

Call child protective services...if there is no parenting they will take care of it. If there is parenting and the kids are just playing ....then move.

All you have to do is............
If/when they come to your house for halloween, when you open your door, throw confettie in their faces and scream at the top of your lungs. This should work!
Kids in my neighborhood do that too........
