The Southern Hemisphere.
The seasons in the Southern Hemisphere are the opposite of the Northern Hemisphere seasons because when the N. Hemisphere is oriented toward the Sun the S. Hemisphere is oriented away, and vice versa.

Australia is in the Southern Hemisphere. That is why the seasons are just the opposite of the northern hemisphere. This is also why Australia is called Down-Under.

Australia is in the southern hemisphere in contrast with the northern hemisphere and in the eastern hemisphere in contrast with the western hemisphere. Europe is in the northern and eastern hemispheres, the USA is in the northern and western hemispheres.
