I searched and searched for the truth until I studied with Jehovah's Witnesses.
My Wife and I were baptized in August 1996. We read the Bible and then did a process of elimination based on what the Bible taught when we looked into different religions.
These are just a few of the things I considered.
Jesus said you will know my people for the love they have for one another.
Jesus said my people are no part of this world.
Jesus made his Fathers name known.
Religions today just make Jesus name known. They hide Jehovah God's name behind a false trinity teaching. The word trinity is not found in any Bible translation.
Jesus said he was God's Son.
God called Jesus his only begotten Son.
Jesus said to go and preach the good news through out the whole world.
Jehovah's Witnesses preach through out the whole world.
No paid clergy.
Jehovah's Witnesses offer FREE HOME BIBLE STUDIES.

Because I have witnessed no convincing reason why I should believe otherwise, but I can't see how there isn't something behind the universe. All I have witnessed is humanity's profound appetite for bulls**t. Thor, poseidon, baal, astrology...why now? Why should I believe you people this time?

When twenty people have twenty different answers to the same question they are usually all wrong. When six billion people have a multitude of different answers to the same question I become an agnostic.

Well, first off, as an atheist I neither believe nor follow. And the answer why is simple: I've seen no evidence that anyone or any creed is worthy of following - and I suspect I couldn't ever think so. Leaders don't follow, they think independently.

I do not have beliefs given to me by a deity to follow, hence
I am an atheist.

I do believe that doing anything that hurts others is not good, and all things should be done in love. But this belief was not given by a g-d... it is part of being a moral human being.

I'm Jewish because I believe in God, and believe there is a way that God wants me to live. I wasn't born Jewish (most Jews were, having been born to a Jewish mother), but converted to Judaism about 10 years ago.

I believe in God and Jesus but i do not believe in Hell. i believe in the otherside and reincarnation. i believe most of the religious deities that people worship throughout the world are on the otherside along with our lost loved ones. i believe this because it makes a lot of sense to me. and i still have all my love and faith for God.

Christian: because it makes perfect sense.
Yes I've looked, investigated, and tried a lot of other ways. But the way our Christ taught us makes perfect sense.
Buddhism, Scientology, occults, new age wonders, Taoism, Astrology. All of them are lacking and some are just plain evil.

I have no beliefs.
I have no religion.
I experienced God directly when I was seventeen.
I've never found anything that matched the experience, so although I've studied most religions and many philosophies, I've never 'joined' any.

Why?
