My friend's cat is having kittens. They will be ready for homes at the end of october.I really want one!But my mom doesn't because of all the animals we already have.

The cats are free.I really want one.I know if I bring one home my mom would let me keep it, but she would probably make me keep it outside and only let it inside when I'm home.(I'm at school during the day)

If I do get the cat, I have my own money to feed it and everything, also to get it nuetered.

Should I get a cat?
Or should I just let the cat go to someone who will let it be an indoor cat?

Please help me!

There are plenty of people in this world without pets who would love a chance to adopt one from a shelter. Have your friends surrender the kittens to the shelter and request that he be notified if they aren't adopted, you can then get one if you'd like.

But it sounds to me like your family has it's hands full as it is, so you might want to let this opportunity pass until your mom is more receptive to the idea. Kittens are a big responsibility, especially if you are going to be going through an introduction period with your other animals (usually a very stressful time for all parties involved).

Trust me hun, a kitten is not the best idea for you right now.

Let someone else get the cat, it needs to be completely indoors if it's going to live it's full life span. You've already got a good number of pets who need your attention. The ferret and the dog alone would be enough for most.

In my opinion, i think that you let it's go.. this because you already school. You didn't have any income because you didn't work, right? Moreover, your mom also didn't like cat. You also have a dog in your house, do you know that the dog and the cat can't live together in one house? They can't see each other because they will get fight. So, i think you not take the cat as your pet. You've a lot of pet already, right? That's what i will do if i"m in your situation.. Good luck my friend......

Well maybe you should let it go becuase now days the problem with outdoor cats is it is extremly dangerous for them, cars, sick people like to shoot them, getting stole, or picked up be the animal control. But if your willing to put some time and effort into it, and if you have a fence is put plastic netting around the top of your fence, like they do in prisons with it soming in so they cant jump out and just nail in some thick wire all around it to hold up the netting. It's what I did with my cats and it works really good they can roam the backyard but cant get out!

in really depends on how old you are. if you're looking to go to college in the next five years or so, then you're just going to burden to mom with more responsilbilty. and should you really disrespect your moms wishes? i think that's the real question, and for that my answer is NO.
sorry hun, let the kitty go to a loving lifetime home.
