Dude, you have clearly never had any serious contact with military people. I worked 15 years in the theater surrounded by homosexuals before I started LEAVES and I never saw men so sexually open with each other until I started working with Marines.

"Homophobia" is just a PC term used to blunt opposition to homosexuality. To answer your question, we just don't like the idea that someone in our unit might want to put his weenie in places it doesn't belong.

It's that macho crap they pump into you when you are in training. Personally, I knew several folks that were gay when I was in the military. I felt the same way about them as I did anyone else: As long as they performed their duties to the highest standards, all was fine.

No, I can assure you that they are not.
Our soldiers are trained to resist being afraid of anything.
If they are afraid of something, they usually kill it.
