I am not an atheist, mimi, but this is an extremely unfair question. I have asked for several points of view from atheists, and asked genuinely, I was given genuine and sincere answers. It's very probable that rather than discussing theology, you are falling into the trap of arguing theology. Most of the atheists I have heard from seem to be highly intelligent people with thoughts and feelings just as theists have. Try to rephrase your questions in a less argumentative way and I think you will be surprised at some of the insight that you find. As with all beliefs, there will always be those who can't seem to speak without including sarcasm and scathing remarks, but you will just have to weed these people out and chalk it up to immaturity (or worse, ignorance). I thought that Duck Phup made some interesting observations, don't you?

Same reason you Christians do I suppose LMAO as well at all of them, its silly all the fighting they all do Christian or Atheist.
SO I thank the Christians for just as many laughs as I do Muslims, Jews and Atheists. A nut is a nut no matter what you label it. Each insult each other, it is not like one is innocent and the rest not.
So I think they are all a big laugh.

Think about it... you believe that a cosmic Jewish zombie, who is his own father, can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him that you accept him as your master so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced, by a talking snake with legs, to eat a piece of fruit from a magical tree... (etc.)... and that there is something horribly wrong with people who ARE NOT so gullible and droolingly stupid as to believe such outrageously ridiculous codswallop.
Do ya know what?... that's insane.

Regardless of how snarky we may be here, we seldom ever insult the people.
We do, however, insult the arguments made by people here every time they are inane. That is a nuance I hope you can understand.

i really hate being defined by what i am not. like for example, vegetarian means you eat only vegetables, not that you don't eat lamb, cow, pig, chicken, fish... Christian means you "DO" follow the Christian faith. atheist means that you "DO NOT" follow Christianity, Buddhism's, Hinduism, bla bla bla. does that make sense at all?
