I need to get my cholesterol checked - I know I need to fast but does that include no fluids?

.Depends on what tests, most only water..There is a test for a certain bacteria in the stomach, that you can't even drink water. If you are not being tested for an ulcer in your stomach, then water. If you smoke, it can change the results, coffee or anything with caffeine can cause a false positive on you glucose test..That's for diabetics especially. I draw blood, so it is helpful if you do drink water to bring up veins and if you have small veins ask for a butterfly needle...they are very small.
