I left a small town for all the same reasons you talk about. Can you find employment in a larger town or city that you would be comfortable in? See and secure employment and tell your wife if you are to be a family she'll have to follow. I joined the Army to get away, but you might not want to take such a drastic step.

Is it really that bad? You are probably just upset because it is different than where you came from, and because you are feeling gloomy about the fact that your wife cheated on you. BTW, I agree with the woman who said that you probably should have given her the boot.

I grew up in what was more or less a small town. You make your own fun -- hunting, fishing, hiking, snowmobiling, etc. -- and you ignore the crazy people that you can't get along with, just like anywhere else.

Life is what you make of it, no matter where you are. Hang in there guy.

Yikes! Sounds like you landed in freaksville, man, like a bad Twilight Zone episode.

How did you meet this crazy woman anyway? Never mind. At least you can always go back to where you came from.

I've never been in a small town with a low population but it doesn't suprise me. I have a few friends who have moved to small townships and I get the weirdest stories from them about how they treat one another ... and they thought the city was bad.

Small town nothing, there's backbiting in New Haven too. Lots of political whining and such.

If someone cheated on me, their stuff would be outside the door. I'm surprised you're still with her.

Join the club, except I was born here :( (not in Oregon, it's in Virginia. Move, asap, that's what I'm finally going to do no matter what.
