Well, in Spanish, names are written with capital letters at the beginning. It is José Arcadio Buendia.
Personally, I don't like Garcia Marquez

Generally speaking, authors' names or names of characters in books, movies, etc. are not translated since the translated name is not the actual name of the person. I can say this, though, the man's last name "Buendia" means "good day".

It should be capitalized and with Spanish accent marks:
Spanish: José Arcadio Buendía
English: Joseph Arcadius Goodday?

José = Joseph
buen = good
día = day

That's all I know.

Arcadio is from site below by searching for "Arcadio English". In Wikipedia, by clicking English from the list of languages, you'd get Arcadius who was a Roman emperor. Clicking on Spanish from the same language list will give you Arcadio.
