I am on a swim team and swim 5 days a week for about 2 hours. I have weak arms, abs, and need to build my leg muscles. I am 5 feet 8 inches, 15 years old and weigh 110 pounds. Would it be beneficial for me to jog / run in the morning before school for about 25 minutes to build muscles and better help me in swimming?

I'm 15 and play tennis and am about an inch taller. My upper body is medium strength and my calves are crap (for now). However, though the gym is VERY beneficial, I strongly encourage jump-roping. It may seem kind of guy, but it stretches your pex muscles and increase not only stamina but calves. (make sure to jump in intervals of 5min and on yur tippy toes.)

To help strength your upper body do interals of 10 push-ups a day. Then do intervals of 25 curl-ups and work in the jump-roping with the work-out. It should start out to be a 15-20min work-out. Only allow breaks up to 3 minutes, otherwise your muscles began to relax and don't build up as efficient or fast.

you can do some weightlifting at the local gym that will build muscle but running just builds endurance and some muscle, but usually if you want to get strong the weight room is the way to go.
