Tell him the truth. Any doctor that is paying attention has seen and heard it all. Don't try to manipulate him in any way, but do tell him all your symptoms with no apologies. He worked his way through long years of graduate school to understand your needs. And if he is impolite in any way, tell him so and walk out.

I think a lot of people get scared about seeing a doctor for depression and panic attacks, but don't make that stop you... Just be honest with your Doctor and I'm sure he will give you the help you need...

Panic atacks equals Lorazepam (Ativan). Great, great for everything! I'm serious. It works better for pain than actual painkillers for me! Panic attacks, which I have a history of, gone. I mght come off wrong praising it, but it helps. I't is a sister to Valium by the way. Tell the doctor exactly what happens and hope he gives you some.

i'm sure you're asking why me. but it is real, i know i lived with a person for almost 17 years who suffered from exactly what you're dealing with. doctors are very understanding. and just because you can't see it like a physical ailment it does exist. not to worry, a maintenence program of a drug will help. look at it this way it's a vitamin to help you strenghthen youself on a daily basis. you'll be o.k.

why wouldn't he? I mean do you have a history of telling him lies? have you given him any reason to doubt you? if not, then don't be silly, the doctors only want to help. he may refer you to a psychiatrist, and frankly I would prefer going to one rather than a GP, they know a good deal more about available treatment for depression and anxiety.

Listen...all I have to say is check this out before you start pumping drugs in your body. I've been through situations involving panic attacks with my wife and she took care of the problem without the use of drugs. So please, check this info out first, ok.
Good luck to you

It you're on Xanax he or she might wean you off of it, many people go weird on it and doctors are trying to go to drugs like Celexa.
If so ask to be weaned off with clonipin or another. I'm no doctor, I speak from expeience, your doc knoows best.
