But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for,the evidence of things not seen.

Indeed Lady Saphira. You are telling the absolute truth. The Bible says as you wrote'But without faith it is impossible to please him, for he who comes to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him".
------Hebrews 11:6

Have faith dear friends in God.

What's funny is, those who have the good life are the ones that we'd think would be more likely to have faith in a benevolent higher power and those with a hard life should be more likely to say the world is too unfair for this to be some sort of a testing ground of who can have faith and who doesn't. That would be a reasonable assumption, but in fact its quite the opposite.

So you are telling me based on ZERO evidence or reason I should believe the completely far-fetched tale of a person rising from the dead 2,000 years ago?

Uh....no.

Please realize this very simple fact: You cannot coerce faith.

I cannot believe out of "an abundance of caution". I cannot believe "because I want to believe." I can only believe if there is a compelling REASON to believe. Everything else is just cheating...so evidence DOES matter.

Seeking or not seeking is not the question (nor is it biblical, don't claim that it is). I seek any answer that may lead to truth, but I am utterly incapable (not unwilling) of believing or accepting anything for which pertains to "the evidence of things not seen."

I'm sorry, but Paul was a moron. Thomas had it right...he said give me proof (why did Jesus give it to him, but not us?).

My Lady, I like the way you put things out in the open for every one to comment on. Faith IS 'as you have stated, and as it is also stated in the good book.' But not all people have faith in the same thing, as you and I. Some have faith in mankind (wrong), some have faith in science (wrong), some have faith in witchcraft, Satan, divination, tarot cards, and other worldly things, (wrong, wrong, wrong wrong, and wrong again) When in fact they should be putting their faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ and be saved.

Gods blessings and His love be with you forever.

that some person you never met can tell you your future?? That the reason things are going bad for you is because your CHAKARAS are bloked??? Tha Pseud science is the answer to all our problems?? Not many people like to think now a days and examine the trueth..if you have questions seek the answers....dont just ASSUME you know..

So I should have faith in Santa? I understand that you believe your book, but it has a number of holes and contradictions, besides lacking any supporting evidence.

Until there is evidence that the bible is true and not just a story book, quoting from it is useless.

Faith is evidence? That's the stupidest statement I've ever heard. Have you ever noticed that people have faith in lots of conflicting things? To use but one argument...

For goodness sake, this is the problem with religion. Believe in god, if you don't there's something wrong with you, you are evil, you don't have faith. what complete nonsense
