Being that the limited funds from financial aid go to the most needy of students and many of the illigals under report or are paid under the table they would dry up the limited pool of funds

Further, because the repeal of the 1996 law that said that illegal aliens can not get in-state tutition is retroactive, illegal aliens who formerly paid out-of-state tuition will have the abiltiy and motivation to sue for the difference between what they paid and the in-state rate

No.....it's not fair at all. These people aren't forbidden to go to school. They just have to pay up. The problem comes that when they graduate they couldn't legally work. We have lots of kids going to college who aren't guarenteed employment once they get out. We have legal immigrants who have degrees in their home country that aren't allowed to practice here and have to do other work. They want cheap and free education and guarenteed employment. Wouldn't we all. Not all poor kids get aid that qualify because the funds are gone or are reserved for other "special" groups. Now here....going to college isn't good enough because they want "Spanish speaking" professors because they still can't speak English.

I mean enough already. These kids could work their way through college like so many others have. File their papers to become citizens and get themselves a few thousand dollars in debt with school loans like alot of our own citizens have to. They could always use their education back in their homeland if they weren't accepted as citizens here and they'd have a leg up there. So this hand it all free and make it all easy is ticking me off. They haven't appreciated a darn thing they got for free all along so why should we continue to foot their bill when we have enough of our own who need it.

I just happened to be looking at taking a course at the community college in the area I am stationed (I am a resident of another state). The cost is almost $800 per credit for out of state residents. If this were to pass and I were an illegal alien it would be about $160 per credit. How is this fair?

Illegals should not get any student assistance. That should be for the tax paying citizens to get.
