A friend of mine is really into cars & stuff & he sent away for this info on some place called the NASCAR Technical Institute. In the info there is also something called MMI, Motorcycle Mechanics Institute.
I don't know, but it lookes kind of funny to me. Like one of those bulls*** type places, I don't know. So I told him I was going to take the stuff home & check it out on the Internet, so I decided Y/A was a good place to start.
Thanks !!!

NTI is the best school to go to if he wants to have a legitimate shot at working as a mechanic in Nascar.

We just hired 6 new guys that went and graduated from NTI.

I'll tell you for sure in a few weeks as I'm planning to enroll starting this winter! I came close to enrolling at NTI this time last year but decided to go back to college. NTI is a part of the Universal Technical Institute, UTI has been training men and women to be automative technicians since 1965. They are very open to new students about costs, expectations and what they're alumni are doing. They are a VERY REAL company run by very genuine people and I'm excited to enroll in their racing programs.

I'll tell you a small trick you can do to make sure a website is legit. Look up the website first. Second look for either the contact information or a section that tells about the company. Look for a phone number and/or an address. Then go to some place like http://www.whitepages.com and do a reverse look up of the phone number and/or the address. If they are legit then they will provide some way of contacting them. Here is the website of the institute.

Working with motorcycle dealers over the years, we have gladly put these tech's to work. As to the other areas, I agree with some of the other folks here that the school is really not any different from going to training for Ford, Chevrolet or any of the other Manufactured Training. They have a great school and work very hard with outside sources to make sure they have a strong and accurate training program. The rest they learn when they are hired at the Companies.
