Many such movements exist -- and many more could exist. Anyone can start one, based simply on speaking out, and getting other people to speak out together.
The problem is -- most terrorists are narcissistic -- they don't care what other people think, so attempts to convince them to stop are going to fall on deaf ears.
The best way to create and propel such a movement is over the long term -- by changing the way people think about each other, teaching tolerance, and trying to find non-violent solutions to ALL problems -- and hope the human species catches a clue along the way.

Surf over this Community and view all the dysfunctional areas of grief and disagreement and prejudice and genocide in the World and then get on your knees and pray for Gods will to be done and for Him to guide our leaders actions, that we will serve His good purpose. What is set in motion is in Gods hands that is obvious beyond question, never has the world witnessed such chaos.

Don't think that will happen. The root of Islamic terrorism is the Wahabiists of Saudi Arabia. There is no peaceful way to stop them.
It might be a good idea to attack them instead of all these other distractive targets.
I mean, why not go to the source?

To win the war one must first deny the battle. I think a battle fought with words can be far more powerful than one fought with weapons. Perhaps the generations of our future will do what we are not doing.

We could simply surrender ourselves to Islam.
Then when they are done killing all the infidels then terrorism would end.

It couldn't. How are we supposed to preach non-violence to the terrorists who learn from birth that killing Americans brings them a higher powers gratitude and boat loads of virgins.

it can't be done.... as soon as someone starts a movement of this kind they'd get attacked by the terrosits because it'd be seen as a sign of weakness.

After every terrorist incident, you could take out a full page ad in the newspaper that reads "Cut that out!"
