Dear God:
I know that I'm a sinner. I deserve Hell. But You sent Jesus to die for my sins. I believe that He died and rose again. I ask you now to forgive my sins, once an for all. I now receive Jesus Christ as my Lord and Personal Saviour. Please come into my heart and save me, Help me to know I am saved and live for You, the rest of my life. In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen.

I'm actually proud to say I tried.... I gave it a serious bash and I found it empty... there was nothing there, no voice, no feeling... nothing.
Being brought up Christian gave me all the tools and I was always told about the leap of faith needed for the 1st step so I being a "give it a try" kinda gal did exactly that but nothing.
I have since found clarity in atheism and I am fulfilled with the answers given so far by science. I actually find life much better without having to pretend I believe in something which I personally find weak minded and fake.
I dont pretend to be fashionable because Im not....

Did I? Yes. Did I mean it? Not really, when I was six granny made me do it one Sunday when the pastor asked "do you really mean it?" I had to say no, but granny (bless her soul) said "Oh the boy is just nervous!" and I had to do the stupid little prayer! The main thing was is that I was a rational thinker from a VERY young age and when they said "Ask Jesus into your heart" I couldn't understand how somebody, spirit or otherwise could live in your heart and how you heart could turn black with sin...didn't make sense to me.
So yes I did but I do not believe Christ died for me or anybody else.

This is the SECOND time today you posted this........
Either you have short term memory loss, or no life...guess which one I am betting on?

So I guess I will re-post my response too, k??

He's running through woods so black
A loyal servant of christ
Dogs are barking down his back
He's running for his life

He came with words of love and peace
These heathens had to be saved
He thought that he could make them see
Instead he was enslaved

In captivity he spoke of god
To all he met he preached
But when his masters patience ran out
He knew he had to flee

Tears are running down his cheeks
As he sobbing realize
That in this land his God is weak
And today he's going to die

He stumbles out onto an open field
Where an old oak tree grows
In the branches hang men of three
Dressed in preacher robes

His knees refuse to carry him on
Terror shines in his eyes
His faith in christ is almost gone
His god's left him to die

Below the dead he says his prayers
To the God he thought was alive
When he hears a calm voice say
"shut him up and hang him high"

As his breath leaves his eyes open wide
A bright light comes from above
He greets this light with a smile
And thinks: "there is a god"

The sound of eight hooves reaches his ears
Comes from the heavenly light
Two wolves howls fills his heart with fear
And he sees two ravens fly

Down from the sky a warlord rides
Like fire his one eye glows
And just before the preacher dies
He knows his God is false

I totally agree with the guy who answered first. But in addition to the Christian creation myth being completely laughablein our age, let's consider for a moment the possibility it were true. Then I'd never ever follow that loathsome tyrant god but hold it with the Klingons here: Better to die on my feet than to live on my knees!
There were people who tried to assassinate Hitler and were executed for it, they are nowadays celebrated as heroes in my country - yes, here in Germany - but eventually the tyrannic dictator was defeated, and if there was a tyrannic god he'd have to be defeated just like Hitler was, and I'd be ready anytime to fight for this cause.
Fortunately I don't think I'll need to because that god is a fairytale.

I used to be religious. I prayed to jesus and god and never had any of my prayers answered. Also each question I asked was replied with cop-out answers. These and a few others are why I do not accept jesus, god and religion.

I believe in the Messiah Jesus son of Mary, Messenger of GOD and HIS Word, Pure, sinless, knower of the Book and Wisdom and the Law (Taurat) and Bible, a sign to the Universe, a mercy from God, a mercy to Mankind ......... but he is not my Savior ... that would be GOD, and Jesus is not.

He is not dead and the children of Israel never killed him in the first place ..... and thus he will return to this world in schism and tell us once again ... what our way (Religion) is ...... so wait ... I too wait.

Why haven't I? Because I've denied the Trinity(tm) and since I've done that, I am automatically condemned to hell..

I denounce the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost.

Just to be clear.

You are a sinner. Glad you know it. Now leave us alone that don't believe the way you do. Ask a question instead of this same thing over and over and over.

Prophet Jesues (peace on him) will never rise up again, he survived the cross, and told his colleagues of his survial. He later hid in a cave until he recovered, then died a normal life.
