It really depends on where they're injecting. If it's in your arm it will be nothing more than a prick. On other parts of the body you will feel the slight prick and possibly some pressure as the dye is injected. It's not really going to hurt.

The worst part is going to be inside the MRI tube. Ask your doctor for some medication to take to help you relax before you have the test. That way you will go through it much easier.

Having an IV inserted can be a little painful but the pain only lasts a seconds or two. What I always do it close my eyes and when the nurse said "Little pinch" I take a deep breath and let it slowly and its all over. During the scan the dye will be injected and it cam make you feel hot and sometimes it feels like you have wet yourself but done worry you wont have.

It hurts as much as any other needle... The dye solution they inject ( It will be dripped in via an IV ) does not sting

It feels like you're getting a shot when they inject the contrast, but the actual MRI won't hurt. Good luck!

Any time you get a needle stick it will sting momentarily, however if you feel the dye at all (which you shouldn't) it will probably feel just a little cool. Don't worry about this, as it will be over quickly and you will wonder why all the fuss and worry about it.

no more so than any other injection
being in the tube is a little unnerving though but it helps to concentrate on things that make you happy while process is occuring
