She's a 6 month old puppy hound. Beagles have been bred for centuries to hunt rabbit all day long. You need to make sure your pup has mental and physical exercise to tire her out. Some ways to do this are through nilif (nothing in life is free), daily obedience training, and two power walks each day.
For information on nilif, google "alpha dog boot camp" (without the quotes). A power walk is one where the dog must walk on a loose leash at your side. Unless you give permission for a break she's not permitted to forge ahead, lag way behind (slightly behind is ok), sniff, or mark. Because these use mind and body they're more tiring than regular walks or play times.
Another good thing is the find it game where you hide a toy or treat and she has to sniff it out. You start by placing the item right in front of her and telling her to find it . Gradually move items further until she grasps the idea and you can hide them where she can't see them or see you hide them.

just like everyone's said already. Beagles are naturally hyper, and being a puppy they are extremely hyper. If you find your beagle getting into things, chewing things that it shouldnt be...discipline the dog WHILE the dog is doing it. Dogs do not learn from being disciplined after the damage is done, so rubbing the torn up shoe the dog chewed on 20 minutes ago in it's face will teach the dog nothing.

Because it's a 6 month old Beagle! Most pups are hyper at that age,but Beagles, being hounds, are more likely to be.Just make sure the pup gets a ton of exercise, and spay or neuter the pup;this will help. Also, give him/her a lot of chew toys to channel it's energy.Walk it at least three times a day for 30 minutes,or play fetch with it.Obedience classes will help a lot, too.Good luck.Beagles are wonderful dogs, just give the pup time to mature and learn.

First off, since she is a Beagle, she is going to be hyper no matter what. Beagles' nature is one that is very hyper, active and cheery. Also, your dog is still a puppy. Puppies are very hyper, so you can expect your dog to stay very hyper for a very long time.

Do you want to know why or what makes them hyper?
I have a beagle and she is always hyper. She's a puppy.... it's her nature. Plus Beagle's are hunting dogs... they are sapose to be eneregetic and upbeat.

she is not hyper it is just the that she is in the puppy stage. all puppys go crazy untill they are around 1-1.5 yrs old. it will help if u walk her every day or run her every day. play ball or just let her run in the back yard. my frind has a puppy pit, he runs with her every day and she is not crazy any more.

you fairly ought to get her spayed ultimate for her well being in long-term and im specific you do no longer desire 10 kittens working around which you will have a issue even gifting away because of the fact there are a good number of already undesirable!!! Oh and specific it particularly is common for her to pass out and in of warmth, and that i incredibly doubt you will calm her down so ultimate element to do is SPAY SPAY SPAY

Its their breed. These are dogs who were bred to run and trail alllllllllll day long. That takes a LOT of energy.
