It's political. This is the same man that is supplying weapons to forces in Iraq, has threatened to wipe Israel off the map, is making plans for attacking Israel just in case, has never condemned a terrorist attack, kidnapped members of the British navy for no reason. The list goes on and on and we should believe him. He shouldn't even be allowed in the USA and the UN should never have invited a terrorist to speak. I really wish the UN was out of New York!

God Bless.

Believe it or not, I think he is sincere in his won twisted little mind, at least as it pertains to politics. He doesn't really care about politics in the US or anywhere else for that matter. What he does care about is his religion. He is a dangerous one. He wants more than anything to be the one responsible for ushering in the return of the 12th Imam, the Muslim/Islamic Messiah. He WANTS US citizens to embrace Islam and convert via embracing him. He wants to show that he and his people are a symphathetic and loving people, which some may be. He as a person whole heartedly believes in this Messiah and doesn't really think he has done anything wrong, though we know different. He is like some of the suicide bombers who really believe that if they do this, they will be with God, though they are deeply mistaken by there ways. Having said that, there are some who don't really care about doing it for God, but do it for political power and hatred, especially in regards to Israel. He hates Israel but for religious reasons, not political. Don't get me wrong, I make no excuses for him and despise him. He is sick and twisted and mislead by a prophet that was not really a prophet. Just my opinion.

Americans are continually claiming that Muslims with real authority don't disparage terrorism. Now the President of Iran wishes to honor the World Trade Center victims. Granted, it may be a mere token, but it IS a first step in the correct direction. He might be sincere. His motives certainly are political. ...but what have we got to lose? I say, give the man a chance to do the right thing. Allowing the wreath laying could buy us some much needed creditability among Muslims worldwide.

Political Yes. Sincere maybe. There is no evidence that Iran was in any way involved with 911 and certainly they have not benefited from the backlash of the event. I suspect he wished that it never happened for selfish reasons if nothing else.

Neither, it is a cruel joke meant to provoke more hurt and anger for those of us who have been negatively affected by his fellow muslim's acts of murder on 9/11.
Even the fact that the UN (united nothing) will allow that piece of trash into this country AND allow him to speak is without equal on the STUPID SCALE!!! Someone like him actually belongs inside the UN though since they are cut from the same cloth.
(there is a SLIGHT possibility that I don't care for him....somewhat....maybe a little....NOPE..I really don't like him at all !)

As any other bigotic political leader, he's toying with the public opinion.

I never trust politicians, ever.

About as sincere as Bill Clinton was regarding his "relationship" with Monica Lewinsky.

I don't know about his motivations, but the response is decidedly political. Would be nice to give the opportunity to be sincere.

"Sincerity is the key. Once you can fake that, the rest is a piece of cake"

That's what I think about that!
