there are these high school guys that go to my school and i thought they wer kinda cool untill today... there wer these two kittens at the park across from my school and hehe everyone was all AWE!...exept them. one of the grabbed one of the cats and lit his tail on FIRE!!! i started crying and ren to my bf and told him. My bf tried to tell them to stop but they wouldnt listen!!! what do i do! i want to help those cats because apperantly they do stuff to cats like that ALL the time and it breaks my heart :'( help me!!! i want to tell them to stop but i dont know how!!!

These guys are abusing animals and it's ILLEGAL. I would contact the police first. You can probably find the local number online or something like that. (NOT 911). Also, I would contact the ASPCA, or check out their website (www.aspca.org). The ASPCA, or American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, could probably give you some pointers or tell you who else to call or contact. If you can, next time you see these guys doing something like this, take pictures or a video (on your phone, camera, whatever) so you can show it to an authority figure.

Tell an adult--a teacher, a school councelor, the principal!
Kids who do that to animals go on and do it to people, the FBI and the police both know this, it's a pattern.
They're NOT cool kids, as you found out, they're complete idiots. You're far better than they are, because you CARE about the cats. Nobody's going to be able to do anything until and unless those kids are reported. Give ALL their names to the adult and make sure something is done. This should be put into their school personell files.
Any time you see them abusing an animal, report them. Try to get the animal away, and tell someone. If nobody listens, call the local paper and the animal shelter. People do care and it just takes getting the info to the right person to get something done about it.

They are sick individuals. Report them for animal abuse to the police. Inform the counselors and the principal of your school. These guys are psychopaths. Nothing you say is going to change their behavior. Only intervention from authorities will make them stop. I hope that they do not have pets, or little brothers or sisters, at their homes. It is likely they are torturing them, too.
Edit: The other posters are right. See if you can find the kittens they tortured, and either take them home with you or get them to the shelter or to a cat adoption team. The one they tortured is in need of immediate medical care.

Not suprisingly, these are same guys who are going to end up in jail when they get a little older for something else, because they have serious emotional problems that probably stem from a very troubled home life. Seriously, setting cats on fire is against the law. I would not be afraid to inform the police.

Since you know the identity of the young men involved I would first bring it to the attention of your school principal or guidance counselor. I would hope they would want to take action through police or humane society officers to see the boys are apprehended and taken into custody and/or counseling about this.
If your report is not sufficient to get action then enlist as many as you can from your school to also make complaints.

it sounds to me like you should be telling an authority figure on those guys. Then you probably need to call animal control and have the cats taken away. try a no-kill shelter. They should be safe there

Call the police against them, and animal control center, and pray for them kits. D: Also, they do that because they're stupid - and they know it - so picking on little cats that can't speak makes them feel like a god. Peaple like that are lower than rats.

Contact the authorities!!! There are laws against things like this. Don't be scare if they'll be mad at you or what not. Do the right thing and turn them in. No living being should suffer like that.

you absolutely need to report these guys to the authorities. think about it, don't most serial killers start off the torturing animals. those guys are sick in the head and need help. you'll be doing the animals, your neighbors, your family and yourself a huge favor. cruelty to animals is a crime, to protect yourself ask to not to be identified as the person that turned them in. YOU MUST REPORT THEM TO THE COPS!!!

Do the right thing. Tell them that if you ever catch them hurting another animal again, you will turn them into the police. And then DO IT. Stop being a coward and do the right thing!
