im thinking about getting a vertical hood piercing. a few questions. As guys, what do you think of girls who have them? turn on or turn off? girls who have had them.. whats the pain and matinence like? and also, what are the risks?

My girlfriend has had a vertical hood piercing now for about a year. From what she tells me, it was very painful. However, that is true of any piercing really. She maintains that aside from the pain of the needle going through it has never once hurt again. She was sexually active the same day, as well. The maintenance is next to nothing. She used a mild antiseptic for a week or so just to make sure it was kept clean and free of infection, and other than that she's done nothing. She says it is the most hassle-free piercing she's had, and she is pierced from head to toe :)

I had a vertical hood piercing and it was intensly painful for about 1 minute and then it was fine. It heals very fast as there is so much bloodflow in that region. I found it to be more distarcting than helpful sexually. It usually got in the way and I would end up taking it out. It looked pretty though.

I'm bi, and I had a girlfriend who had one, so herewego...
They heal VERY quickly (a matter of a few weeks), and require very little aftercare, since the female genitals are self-cleaning. They cost between 40 and 70 bucks, from a good piercer.
Some guys will like it, some guys won't, and most will just be happy to be in your pants. But why does it matter? It's your body, you decide what to do with it, not them. Get it for you and not anyone else.

I'm a female and i used to date a girl who had a piercing down south. I asked her if it hurt getting it down and she said that it was the worst but she liked getting to show it off and i admit i loved that she had it.

in my opinion, you never know if you like it unless you experience the pain youself.
Everyone's body is different so you never know if it will help you in the sex department unless you try it. Once you get in a committed relationship, perhaps then you might want to go for it. It puts you more at risk for infections

Opens up the risk of more infections and cuts you off from sex for a bit.

personally, i wouldn't wanna be with a girl who's pierced in places like that, or tattooed.
