The thing is that God is always watching you... He created all of us and he's just keeping an eye on us to make sure he knows what going on... I think of it in a more comforting way but I can see how this can bother some people :)

Not at all. I believe that God is all around us...in and through everything. There is nothing that isn't God...so, it would only make sense that God would be with me always.
It actually made (and makes) me feel really warm and safe.
And...since my God is not a judgmental spirit...I don't believe that my actions would change regardless. I do what I do because I know it's right action...not because I fear for someone or something watching me and punishing me for it.
Make sense?
Good Luck!
The Coach...

Yes. That's a pretty good scare tactic. I also like how when you die and go to the pearly gates, your whole life is reviewed - as if on a movie screen. Movies have only been around for 112 years or so...I guess the good folks in Heaven jumped all over that technology when it was introduced around 1900.

No one ever told me that. God was never realy talked about I guess, I was afraid of "ghosts watching me" when I was a kid, not God.

No, it did not freak me out, but it made me accountable.
It gave me boundaries for my life, which I would not step over, and I was kept from patterns of destructive lifestyles, that I might have so easily have succomed to! I thank God for my teachers, and God Himself, for such knowledge and protection.
Praise God!

actually it was a comfort , and still is- God is not too busy with the whole world to care about me. Think about it, you can never find anyone on earth that cares more for you than your creator. What a comfort that is!
