Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man comes to the Father, but through me.

*****Great question and introduction!! *****

I use to be driven by my desires, that is until Jesus saved my life. I remember standing in a crowd and feeling overwhelmed with loneliness. I have had life's best and most desired items in the world and still layed in my bed at night, with a blank stare, feeling unfulfilled; that is until Jesus came and filled me with his Spirit.

Before my salvation experience, I felt dead inside empty & void. Sure I had pleasures, but not everlasting Joy. That's the trappings of pleasure, it may give you a temporary high, but it does not fill the void in your heart. Only the Lord Jesus Christ can fill this void. Call to him, I promise, if you earnestly seek him, "He will Change everything!" You will become a new creature, full of desire to serve & to love God and your fellowman. I'm not talking about this fake, let the whole world know when you give your time and money, kind of love and care. I'm talking about the real deal, "Agape LOVE."

I am driven by the Holy Spirit and his Love. My purpose is to be holy as he is, to Love and to cherish his Truth, his Way, and his Life in me. The Lord's Agape (Love) in me, motivates me to Love others as he does.

The Joy of the Lord is my strength.

In Christ,

Good to know you think my life is without purpose. For some reason I see it differently, can you imagine. Why can't I just live in peace? I don't need to create a reason to be driven. Humans by nature are driven by the need to survive. Guilt and resentment are learned behavior that religion encourages to keep up attendance. No baby suffers from these until people tell it it should.

I don't think we should be driven by anything but we should be led (by the holy spirit). However, there have been times I have been driven and that's for sure. Right away when you said this I pictured a flock of sheep, the sheep are either led or prodded by the Shepherd or driven by dogs, wolves, fear, or whatever drives them. I agree without God we cannot know our purpose on this earth.

Knowing that one day I will be able to kiss the scars that bore my sins. How great a love to endure so much to save mankind. When all he had to do is say one word which could unravel all creation. Yet, he did his will, which was to do only the will of the Father. Jesus loves us because the Father loves us. And he gave his life for us which was the plan of the Father, even before the creation of the heaven and earth.

desires...

"Fantasies have to be unrealistic because the moment the second that you get what you seek, you don't, you can't want it anymore. In order to continue to exist, desire must have its objects perpetually absent. It's not the it that you want. It's the fantasy of it. ... We're only truly happy when day dreaming about future happiness. ... The hunt is sweeter than the kill. Be careful what you wish for, not because you'll get it, because you're doomed not to want it once you do. ... Living by your wants will never make you happy. What it means to be fully human is to strive to live by ideas and ideals; and not to measure your life by what you've attained in terms of your desires, but those small moments of integrity, compassion, rationality, even self-sacrifice; because in the end, the only way we can measure the significance of our own lives is by valuing the lives of others."

God drives my life-- The Lord God has always had the steering wheel. And I am sooo thankful for that! I praise Him for all He does in my life and that He is the one who leads me....
I love this verse:
Isaiah 30:21
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."

If you are Christain, the only thing we should be driven by is the plans Gods has for us. They are plans of properity, happiness, success. HE has the best plans, and they far exceed what are pea brains can imagine. So he is saying, dont be driven by the ways of the world..

There are many roads to God.

Any religion that claims to be the only way to God is a lie.

My purpose is to live my life honorably and raise my son to be a good productive man.

If I can help one person to see how idiotic Christianity is here, I have changed one life for the better.
