I think I understand your question, and, might I say "well put!". Yes, it is a total tie. A deadlock. You either believe in a higher power or you don't . There is no in-between.

Now, which way will you go?

Um...well, the most the Bible has -other than the Bible of course- is some archaeological sites that are from the Bible, but I do not think that any Atheist has said that Sodom and Gomorrah were never real, just that the two cities were not destroyed by the Angel of Death, maybe a meteor, or something like that, but not by God...Atheism has lack of evidence, which the reason a majority of people become Atheist. So Christianity has faith, and some archeology that does not really prove anything other that there were cities that were named the same as in the Bible, and Atheism has lack of evidence, evolutionists have evidence, which I will not get into here, since Atheism and Evolution are not the same thing, though many DO believe in Evolution. Hope this helped some...^_^

Nup. Unlike Atheism, Christianity claims that Jesus died to sacrifice for our sins, rose from the dead and lived eternally.

There's overwhelming evidence for Jesus' death and resurrection, and it would be foolish to discount this without really considering it. Tons of witnesses saw His death and the supernatural events that happened directly after His death e.g. tearing of the Temple in two. As to Jesus' resurrection, there was the empty tomb (strongly guarded at the time), enemies didn't produce the body, and 500+ people saw Jesus alive after the resurrection (not all of them could have hallucinated). Hundreds then saw Jesus' ascension to heaven afterwards.

To me, Christianity is far more consistent, convincing and logical. That's a pointer to go and investigate the claims of Jesus, that He lived a perfect life to provide a perfect substitute for our sins - and believe and trust in Him as our only personal Saviour.

Atheism can't have any evidence because it's a negative claim.

The burden of evidence lies on Christianity/theism - it has none, though it should to be believed in and be valid.

Well they are very similar. Both religions have much in common. Many adherents of both think they are correct and everyone else is wrong. Followers of both religions feel they should evangelize and convert non believers to their faith. Both have many radical, closed minded zealots, among their members, who insist on shoving their religion down the throats of everyone else. Neither religion is content to simply allow the other to believe what they wish in peace. So yes, in many members, Atheism and Christianity do come close in their beliefs.

Qelery,
I have Faith in the Bible and an Atheist has some Faith that the Bible has "no leg to stand on" so I believe that YOU might consider that a "TIE". I personally feel like I am as right as any non-believer feels that they are. I also believe they have the right to believe as they want so long as they do not infringe on my rights. Have a wonderful week.
Thanks,
Eds

Of course atheism will never produce evidence will it? That is the job of science. And christianity? Evidence? hahahahahahaha

Try to think of these two sentences:
1. you have no evidence for nothing
2. you have no evidence for something
Do they tie?
Of course you would want an evidence for something, but for nothing you don't really need one.

Well, I don't think so from my point of view and I don't expect atheists think so from their point of view, but I have always argued that there is no PROOF of God, in the sense that you could unequivocally agree that it can only be that God exists, otherwise there would not be any atheists. So I'd say it's a tie.

If by tie you mean Atheism ties Christianity to a railroad track then yes.
