Favourite blend is Bells. With a little water.
Favourite malts are The Machallan and Laphroaig.
Either with a little water to release the aroma and flavours or just an ice cube.
Now I've got to go and have some!!

Blended - I have a soft spot for J&B Rare. A light, fragrant Scotch, that can be drunk straight, or any damned way you want. My preference is neat with a couple of ice cubes, and nurse it all the way to the next one.

My favourite single malt is a completely different kettle of fish, Ardbeg. This is from Islay, peaty, rich, smokey with just a touch of kick.

I drink it either neat or with a splash of water just to open up all the flavours.

The most important thing is to enjoy it and not treat it like a rare diamond that can only be looked at in one way.

Mr. Johnny Walker Blue, red, green, gold

and I drink it the only way you should drink it - straight

the reson for this is it will affect the taste of the whisky, I have been drinking since 14 and i am now 28.

I have had every whisky you can name as well as scotch and nothing beats Mr. Walker

glenfiddich single malt--they have several varieties as far as cask strength, and age like 12 year and 15, you will be able to tell by the price , also on the lowerend is aberfeldy single malt which i think is made by dewars, but definately single malt scotch's are better than regular cheap stuff, but the two i mentioned are very good without spending over 50 bucks

Glenlivet, Glenmorangie or Bowmore, all single malt whiskies, best served on their own or with a bit of water. Ice in single malt whisky is a no no! And mixing whisky with coke, fanta or lemonade should incur the death penalty!!

I don't drink anymore but I liked Dewar's with a splash of water and some ice. But in a pinch any scotch would do.
I saw another poster's mention of Laphroaig. I had that years ago. That was really interesting, the smoky taste it had.

Laphroaig, from the island of Islay, a wonderful smoky, peaty whisky, always drunk neat. Or with a little water if you must.
