I have been nice to him, saying hi said how nice his lawn is and he said it looks like ****! He is rude to my mom and dad to. My mom says just be nice and do the right thing! I've tried but it's hard. I got so feed up one time that I yelled out the window "This means war!"
My mom thinks he is bipoler.

He might just be alone. Have you tried just talking to him about something else in a normal way? Just try saying hello when you see him. Tell him his lawn is great. Tell him if he ever needs any help, let you know. Try saying you sorry when he yells stay off his lawn even if you aren't on it.
His gardening may be the only thing he has that makes him happy.
I think you're funny though. The dead bird was so Leave it to Beaver.

Stop acting like a child throwing a tantrum (or at least dead animals). If you really don't like this guy check whether your homeowner's association or municipality have rules about fences. Then build the biggest, sturdiest one you're allowed between your yards. You'll have to deal with this guy one more time while you put the fence up so go into it knowing the rules about whether the side facing the neighbor has to be finished (meaning the support boards don't show that way, just the good looking fencing), how far inside your property line you have to place it (usually enough so that none of the fencing hangs onto his property) and what the rules are for trespass on his land to put it up. Get the fence up and it will muffle his noises and give a visual divider so that he can't see if you're near his lawn. After that leave him the heck alone and don't torment him or the situation will just get worse.

Well as to him getting up and being loud at 5am, you could always check with the police to see if there is a noise ordinance. If there is, he could be violating it. I know where I live that there is a strict noise ordinance from 10am to sometime in the morning. As far as him yelling and acting crazy outside, there really isn't a whole lot you can do.

Truth be known he is probably a lonely person and doesn't know how to reach out to make friends. Try striking up a conversation with him about his lawn or some other subject. He will probably appreciate a kind word.

Take a look at your own actions. Maybe your are annoying him. Maybe his yard is his prized possession, ever think of that. And how about his peace and quiet, are you disturbing him? If he is older, he was probably taking care of his things all of his life, and is very protective of what he has. Try to be a better neighbor, if you want a better neighbor yourself. Remember, a teaspoon of honey will collect attract more flies, that an gallon of vinegar!

I would suggest put up a fence. Two wrong don't make a right. That or try and talk to him respectfully and see if you all can come to some type of compromise.

Good Lord, this is a really old man, possibly senile, that you are complaining about for being so loud. Just close all your windows and ignore him when he yells at you or anyone. I know it is annoying, but you can never win his game.

Put up a big privacy fence so then you wont "walk" in his yard accidently and you won't have to see him. It will divide you two. If not just ignore him and let him do his thing.
