I've been to a job fair where there are several companies and businesses set up with applications, job availabilities, information on their company, someone to talk to you, and there might be places like hospitals set up that have learning programs, ie nursing programs, etc. If you're looking for a job or if you just want to see what's out there, it's good to go to job fairs. Even just the practice of filling out applications is a good reason to go. I would take your resume, and a portfolio if that is applicable to the kind of job you're interested in. I would also dress neatly. You don't have to wear a suit, but don't dress in bummy clothes, either. Good luck!

They are all a little bit different. Some of them involve a variety of companies, while others are just for one employer (that seems to be the case with your factory fair.)

Usually there is a public area with info about available jobs, company literature, and little giveaways. Sometimes there is also a private area where recruiters can conduct interviews with promising attendees.

Bring copies of your resume and a writing implement in case you need to complete any documents. Dress appropriately for a job interview, since that is essentially what you will be attending.

Good luck.
