Manitoulin Island/Sandhill Cranes -Dates to see lage Numbers in Fall migration?

We are interested in going to Manitoulin Island to view large numbers of Sandhill Cranes in late Sept. or early October. Where is best area and dates?

There are no sandhill cranes in Australia. We have two cranes, the Brolga and the Sarus Crane. The brolga is founnd through much of northern and eastern Australia but the sarus crane is only in the north.
