well.. i guess the translation should be the following:
yes, i understand well but she told me that she likes Alex. and she asked a lot about him..
there should be 'sie' instead of 'die' as far as i understood

Yeah, I know, but she said she likes Alex and she kept asking about him.
Highly unlikely that the "die" is "that" here! ("Sie" would work too, but my understanding is that "die" is a more emphatic way of saying "she"--as in, She That I Adore.)
