I was the same way i never knew i needed glasses because you think that everyone's vison is the same way but you should go and get your eyes checked out just to be sure.(and don't be afriad of what the doctor might say they are there to help you)

If you say that you have problems seeing, then you have problems seeing! The doctor can't disregard what you're saying, especially in something related to vision.

What will most likely happen is that you'll go through a series of tests in which you're tested for accuracy and clearness of vision. It's not like the doctor takes a look at your eyes and then says "You're fine."

I've never had glasses, but many of my friends have gone through the process of getting them. I'm sure it's definitely worth it in your case, especially if you can't even see across a classroom.

Don't worry, an eye exam is an objective test of visual acuity and the results will reflect if you truly need glasses. It does indeed sound like you are having some problems with nearsightedness, or myopia, that a pair of glasses will clear up immediately. For now, why not ask your teacher if you could sit in the front until you get your new prescription.

You might be a little farsighted. I think they will perscribe you glasses even if you have good vision. The only reason they wouldn't is if you see a perfect 20/20 but even if you see 20/30 they will perscribe you glasses. I have almost perfect vision but the doctor has me wear glasses for reading. I would go and just see what they say. Don't stress about it.

If you cannot see the blackboard from the back of the room, you need glasses. Otherwise that is just a freaking huge room and you need to ask your teachers to move you closer to the front! :-)

Don't worry, if there is a problem, the eye doctor will know. They do a VERY thorough exam.

Tell your doctor what you can and can not see in what situations. Since you can not read the board in the back of the room, let your teacher know, so she can move you closer. Then see your eye doctor, and he will prescribe a course of action that I am sure that will benefit you!
Poor vision also causes headaches! Ouch!

For one thing you should talk to your teacher and tell them that you can not see when you sit in the back of the classroom. You should also make sure your docter knows that you do have a problem seeing.

If you have trouble seeing from the back of your classroom, your doc will most likely give you a prescription for eyeglasses. You shouldn't worry about going because it is important to have regular check-ups for your eyes...just like the rest of your body!

DON'T GET GLASSES! Glasses make your eyes lazy and the longer you use them the lazier they get....thats why people always have to go in for STRONGER prescriptions. Its better to not have to depend on glasses if possible.

There are eye exercises that you can do that will strengthen your eyes. Try Pencil Push-ups, this is where you stare at a pencil, then stare at the background....do this over and over....focus on the pencil then on the background, YOU CAN DO IT!

There are some more eye exercises here
