Of course. Having any type of work done in your mouth will leave it feeling sore and sensitive for at least 5 days after. I would wait at least a week until you start worrying.

Yeah, it's normal to be sore for several days or even a week after getting a root canal done. I've had root canals done, and a crown, and both made my teeth sore for a while afterward. A root canal treatment removes the nerve inside the tooth, but the ligament under the tooth can get irritated and will be sore for a while. Anytime you have any work done on your teeth, even a filling, it's normal to be sore afterward. Try to avoid putting too much pressure on the tooth that just had the root canal done, because there will be a little bit of irritation and swelling on the ligament and it has to heal.
It should just feel like an occasional dull ache, or maybe a minor throbbing pain...but not any sharp or stabbing pains. It'll hurt enough that you'll want to take an over the counter pain medication...but it shouldn't wake you up at night or be more than you can handle. The crown will also make your gum a little sore for a while. Ibuprofen will help. If it doesn't get better after about a week, you should go back to the dentist.
But for now, don't worry, it's completely normal to be a little sore for a while. Think about, a root canal actually IS a form of surgery! Your mouth just needs time to heal.

Some discomfort is normal after having any dental work done, having said that, sometimes a new crown can be too 'high', this means that when you bite your back teeth together, contact is made on the crown first. This can cause quite a bit of pain. It is difficult to check that the bite is correct when a patient has had sedation. Make an appointment with your dentist, they will ask you to bite on some paper which will show up any problems,it's easier than a check up!
Also, the teeth that were crowned may still be a bit 'raw', take your usual painkillers to ease discomfort. Make sure you brush and floss around your new crowns as well. Hope things settle for you.

It is normal for the gums around the crowns to be a little irritated for a day or two. Rinsing with salt water and or Hydrogen Peroxide and water 1/2 and 1/2 should take care of that. Another cause for discomfort would be that the bite needs adjusting. You will need to go back to the Dentist for correcting the bite.

Yes, it is normal. It's even more common to have discomfort on teeth that did not have root canals performed on them before putting on the crowns. That's because the nerves in the teeth get irritated and can take some time to settle down.
