As Islam cannot change:

Bukhari:V9B88N174 I heard the Prophet saying, ‘Islam cannot change!'

And as Muhammad (MHRIH) was the model for mortal behavior:

Qur'an 33:21 Verily in the Messenger of Allah you have a good example for him who looks unto Allah and the Last Day.
Ishaq:467 Allah addressed the believers and said, ‘In Allah's Apostle you have a fine example for anyone who hopes to be in the place where Allah is.'

BukhariV7B63N1891 Indeed in the Apostle of Allah you have a good example to follow.

Bukhari:V9B92N384 Allah's Apostle said, ‘Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me will not enter it.'

So therefore what was good in Muhammad’s (MHRIH) day, what the “prophet” (MHRIH) did, is good today – according to Islam – I’m curious…

What do you think of the fact that Muhammad (MHRIH) married a six year old girl, and slept with her when she was nine years old?

(For anyone who is planning to reply “That was the custom back then…blablabla” – that is an invalid response as Islam, as is clearly set down in Islamic doctrine, DOES NOT CHANGE. If Muhammad’s (MHRIH) behavior was good and a MODEL for behavior IN HIS DAY according to Islam, it is STILL GOOD and a MODEL FOR BEHAVIOR TODAY because ISLAM CANNOT CHANGE [not my rules, “Allah’s” rules)

CJHE, not the question I asked, and utterly irrelevant (the Bible did not declare that primitive customs should be perpetuated just because they existed and were practiced by someone or another).
The point is, what Muhammad did is what ‘anyone who hopes to be in the place where Allah is’ should do. What do you think of that?

Really, hayaa_bi_taqwa? Aisha told a different story:

Tabari IX:131 My mother came to me while I was being swung on a swing between two branches and got me down. My nurse wiped my face with some water and started leading me. When I was at the door she stopped so I could catch my breath. I was then brought in while the Messenger was sitting on a bed in our house. My mother made me sit on his lap. Then the men and women got up and left. The Prophet consummated his marriage with me in my house when I was nine years old.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 7, Book 62, Number 64:
Narrated 'Aisha: that the Prophet married her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old, and then she remained with him for nine years (i.e., till his death).

mark, you claim that Muhammad "Ended slavery". That's curious, seeing as how Muhammad ENSLAVED many of the people he captured!!!

"when u love anything u can take it by halal by the rules of god" (sic)

Beautiful justification! And what if I love a goat? Or my father?
Sorry, but that does not fly.

"will at least he marry her not raped her & her father agreed & she was fine & happy" (sic)

Not rape? "fine & happy"? I know, taking a little six year old girl and having intercourse with her is not rape. She is so young that she was out of breath walking to the house! She is certainly not old enough to be making desicions like that. Muhammad made the desicion. That is rape. You say she was "fine & happy" with it. Do you know what would happen to her if she WASN'T!?

@Naila
"It was what God wanted...and had planned...She was a very intellectual young woman"

Ahhh...I see... She was an INTELLEGENT little girl, so of course Muhammad was justified in raping her! It all makes sense now! Try raping a girl in the US or Europe now adays and telling the judge that some divine, sand banging guy named allah told you to and see where you end up. That only works in archaic, brutal, and barbaric societies...like islamic ones. :)

To answer your question Rachel, all I can say is that it is typical of muslim ideology (and is in fact muslim ideology itsself, as it is an act of the prophet and all muslims are supposed to model themselves after said prophet) and society. From the invention of islam to the modern day, islamic society has been oppresive, intolerant, and aggressive.

It's very obvious that islam does not change. The excuses Muslims use to defend islam change though. I've said all along that the lines they use such as "that's the way everyone did it then" does not apply to a prophet of God, especially the "last prophet" as Muhammad claims to be. No new messages are coming so what Muhammad said and did is the example for all time! His example is middle aged men can have little girls as their wives. Any woman that you "possess" such as slaves and captives, you can have sex with. After you kill and behead the men, take the women and children as slaves. Kill your enemies. Guess what? There are Muslims doing these things today and they claim to be the "true" Muslims. Maybe they are right.

God Bless.

of course we know. Not every non Muslims hated the Muslims. There are also non Muslims who treated the Muslims good and live next to each other harmoniously. Thank U for being kind to the Muslims. However there are many who ridiculed, insulted, disgraced, belittled and worst of all insulted the Muslims beloved Prophet Muhammad. These are the people who will continue doing his / her irresponsible act to cause the world to look down on the Muslims and at the same time try to influence other to convert to other relogion and leave Islam.

"Bukhari:V9B88N174I heard the Prophet saying, ‘Islam cannot change!'"
Islam does not change, people do.

"What do you think of the fact that Muhammad (saws) married a six year old girl, and slept with her when she was nine years old?"
First of all it's not a fact. It becomes a fact when there is enough evidence, but seeing as SCHOLARS who dedicate their lives to studying these types of things cannot agree on the age of Aisha (ra) during marriage (between 9 and 20 something), you cannot count on Islamophobic sites to be the judge on which age is fact. Just as well, not a thing in Islamic teachings says Muhammad had sex with Aisha at any age. Granted a husband and wife are free to do what they want together, however to say he had sex with her or he raped her is outlandish and has no basis of truth whatsoever.

In addition to that:
Bukhari:V9B92N384 Allah's Apostle said, ‘Whoever obeys me will enter Paradise, and whoever disobeys me will not enter it.'
The Prophet (saws) never ordered a man to marry a girl at a certain age. The age of the girl wasn't something that people focused on; instead they looked to religion, social status, wealth, and beauty, and the God says of these characteristics, chose her by her deen.

And since we all know the "p" word is on your mind, let's just remember that Aisha (ra) was the only wife the Prophet had who was not previously married, and in fact, Aisha *was* previously engaged to another man. Just as well, Muhammad's (saws) first wife Khadijah (ra) was 15 years older than him, and was not his only wife who was older than him.

So, since you're looking for thinkers, hopefully you'll do the same. Good luck!

Prophet Muhammad "PUOH" did so many good things 1400 years ago: Ended slavery and made it a sin, liberated women " think of the women rights 1400 years ago", The freedom to worship God without other men higher order" 1400 years ago the only Christians were the Catholics".

Islamic civilization is based on the freedom that God gave mankind where Muslims 1400 years ago were able to think freely about every issue that relate to human life.1400 years ago the world was living in darkness. 1400 years ago, there were Islamic universities where most scientific subject were taught.

I think this will do a good job of answering your question.
The Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) had reasons for his marriage with Hazrat Ayesha (ra)...It was what God wanted...and had planned...She was a very intellectual young woman....and most of the sayings of the Holy Prophet (saw) that we have now, are related by her. We wouldn't have had so much information about how to follow our religion if it wasn't for her. So Non-Muslims need to stop making this allegation against the Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw).

I think that Muhammad brought hatred, intolerance and murder on a global scale into the world, all coming from his father, who is not in heaven. I also believe that Muhammad crucifies Christ all day long with the doctrine in his "Little Book", and pierces the side of Christ always.
