No it doesn't - that's just a myth...

The weight that you gain AFTER YOU QUIT is actually your bodies way of dealing with nicotine withdrawal!!!

It kind of does...it makes you stop craving for snack and instead you ll start craving nicotine more and more and more therefore you eat less and that s how you lose weight but be carefull it comes with a price. and could not work for you this way i know many ppl smoking for years and still never lost weight instead they re just unhealthy and smell pretty bad and add to that early wrinkles, and a whole bunch of illnesses to come too..so i would rather try exercise or diet than smoke...why dont you try WU- LONG chinese green tea it s awsome makes you lose weight so good for your skin ..i have been drinking it since june and have lost 35lbs so far and more to go hopefully and this is baby fat i am talking about...anyways good luck in all..

it does for some people and for others it doesn't. i have friends that have started just to lose weight and all it got them was a deadly lifelong addiction they can never seem to quit. in some people it the nicotine supresses appetite...more so in people with pack-a-day plus habits. after awhile the feeling of hunger and the feeling of craving the drug meld into one where the drug gets priority and so rather than eat, they smoke. i've had many a co-worker who look malnourished and frail because they just aren't getting enough calories per day. this only adds to the list of diseases you become succeptible to when you become a smoker. don't do it.

People say that smoking helps them keep weight off because if they try to stop they need something to curb their habit for always having something in their mouths so they eat constantly and usually gain weight. If they start smoking they lose weight again.

NO! It is a stimulant and a appetite suppressor.... but it won't make or keep you skinny.

Drink LOTS of ice cold water. I read a study where if the only thing you change is drinking one glass of ice water in the morning, the calories your body burns processing the cold water will make you lose 3 lbs in a year. Doesn't seem like much... but if you drink a LOT of ice water, then you are burning calories just by drinking it! Pretty cool, really.

Plus, the drawbacks to smoking are SO not worth it.

No. It is just something that some people use to lose weight. Essentially when they're hungry instead of eating they smoke. However there are much healthier ways to go about it. When you're hungry instead of chips eat carrot sticks or something of the sort.

it doesn't make you lose weight, it causes you to lose weight. It has some sort of appetite suppressant in it. Be my guess to go and try it as a diet source, but don't say anything when ur all slim and wrinkled and tired looking.........

at first since it dulls ur taste buds, food will lose some of its flavor which cuases lack of appetite, but once ur body adjusts, ur apetie will return to normal. also people who quit smoking gain weigth becuase of the erdge to put something in thier mouth is so strong ♥
