EDIT 2 - Interesting. The tone of the people answering "salt and pepper" seems to be judgmental on the rest of you -- almost like its a religious question.

Ahhh, throw me a donut there chief and I'll be fine. I have low blood sugar.

I only use olive oil and garlic.

Kisses.

Allegro marinade is my personal fav that is store bought. The packets of Montreal steak marinade are really good too. You'll find those where the pkg'd gravy is & you only have to add a little oil to mix it up. Even comes with a bag to marinate in!

None. Just salt and pepper for seasoning. I think it's a shame to interfere with the pure taste of a good steak.

what is with the salt. just use butter, and a little pepper. the same with the baked potato you are going to eat with it. lots and lots of butter, and a little bit of pepper. okay, some chives if the wife really insists
you only need steak sauce if you got a bad piece of meat or messed it up while cooking. yech!

a good steak should only take Salt and Pepper. A little herb butter to finish it off at the end for gloss and extra flavor.

If you are going to marinade a good rib eye, which I personally would not- Budweiser Mesquite marinade is great- just add a splash of southern comfort!

I vote for Montreal Seasoning as well. Google it. It is basically pepper, garlic, onion etc. Real simple spices you probably have at home. I know of many restaurants that use it on there beef products.
