Once you know your flight, go to www.seatguru.com and check out your seat. Make sure you have a seat with a power outlet...it varies by plane. You can also check with the airline and they should be able to give you details about anything that seat guru does not show.

I'm not sure this is true, but...
I use my cell phone as a modem. My cell phone is a Treo 700p through Sprint. The laptop connects to the internet by hooking it into my cell phone. If you can use a cell phone on the plane (and I'm not sure you can), you may be able to surf the web :)

I think some of the airlines have started offering wi-fi on planes so you should only need a wireless networking card. Although its only on certain airlines, on certain flights and expect to pay through the nose.

i agree with that last one. expect to pay alot for access to the internet. it s only allowed on certain flights (longer ones) more expensive ones.

Those are only on certain flights. Only iternational long ones.
