okay, so its optional? so its not a requirement during the ceremony?

and how does it happen? i mean, what will happen during the ceremony itself? because isnt there a part where rings are supposed to be exchanged?

I had a civil ceremony and we were asked before if we would exchange rings. If we had said no I think the registrar would have just skipped the ring exchange part. You do not have to exchange rings, but it is a nice gesture; if you want to wait for a personal ceremony or for the reception (as friends did), it's ok as well..

Civil Wedding Rings

The same as for any ceremony. There is no difference. A ring is optional for a church wedding too. A civil service is just as much a legal marriage as a church wedding, just without all the expense. You are just as married and most people will still have a ring at a civil ceremony.

There will be a part where rings can be exchanged but it's not necessary. You can get real cheap rings by going to wal-mart or some place like that and just getting a gold band for each of you. They're real cheap and when you wait until they have a sale going on like around Christmas you can get both of your rings for under $25. You could even ask someone like your mom to give you a ring to exchange. Something is better then nothing because you don't want to be up there with everyone and when the time comes be the only ones not exchanging rings. Best of luck!

Rings are not required in a civil ceremony or the big ceremonies in a church . The whole thing about the wedding rings is basically a symbol of your love for one another . So to answer your question , no you do not need a ring but sometimes its nice to have one.

You dont need a ring in any ceremony, its just something that everyone does nowadays. If you cant afford one or dont really want to get one, I would just get one of the .25 cent rings from a vending machine so you can have something when it comes to that time, then you can just toss them after

Not to the best of my knowledge. The ring is usually optional. Some couples don't want or wear them.
