I thought our bodies were temples of the Holy Spirit and subject to only loving our neighbor as yourself.

Why do people insist on bringing people "into a religion" when the greek word for church, being ekklesia, means "called out"?

1. Given the Nebuchadnezzer and his children are no longer among us (as attested in later attested in the book of Daniel...Cyrus rocked, btw), this would be hard. There is, also, something to be said, hermeneutically speaking, for interpreting verses from the context within which they are given. 2. Look what happened to Saddam Hussein and Iraq when they wouldn't submit to the Gentile world order. I bet if he were alive and believed prophecy that he would do things differently. How, exactly, do you define 'gentile'. It's not the same as Aryan, you know... Peace

Christ set us free from the penalty of sin. His blood atonement is our victory. For the wages of sin is death, Romans 6:23, You are right that we are temples of the Holy Spirit, but faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God, in otherwords Christians have got to read their Bibles and spend more time with God, doesn't the Bible say prayer without ceasing, Going to church is another way of increasing our faith. Basically I guess it just gets down to pride, we don't want to be like other people, we judge to much and we take on problems that we don't even know we have really until somebody says hay what about this, then we realize it and have to ask our Lord for forgiveness. I thank you for your question as I think I need to ask for forgiveness myself of Pride.

The only thing Christ set us free from is the inherited sin from Adam. We are still responsible for our own actions.
It is not a yoke on our selves to be a decent person.

Yeah and the religious folks in the US are the ones most eager to curtail the freedoms of others.

Religion itself is a kind of imprisonment, restricting yourself to a false belief, walling it up with faith and pretending that to doubt it is 'evil' somehow.

The truth will set you free might as well be the atheist credo.

Who cares what the bible says? The bible is as valid a document, and should be taken as seriously as any other comic book.
