I am thinking about getting an xbox 360/elite which are 400 dollars. I don't have that much money and my parents say i have to buy it with my own money. If I turn my PS3 into gamestop or BestBuy how much will I get for it?

In all honesty, stay with the ps3.... don't bother with the 360.
Technically speaking, the 360 is already old, on the other hand, the most advanced game out right now on the PS3 only uses about 20% of the PS3's power!
The lack of games on the PS3 isn't an issue since there are 145 titles scheduled to be released on the PS3 between now and March 2008. If you do the math, that's about 20 new games per month between now and next March.
People who own the 360 keep talking about HALO, HALO, HALO...... well if you're a 360 owner like me and aren't into First Person Shooters, HALO doesn't mean squat. The dedication and excitement torwards a SINGLE title (Halo), just means that you're into First Person Shooters and are a fan of the series, it has NOTHING TO DO WITH WHICH SYSTEM IS BETTER.
So basically what I'm saying is this..... if you want state of the art technology, stay with the the PS3.... if you want an aging console already considered to be old by many standards and are a HALO superfan, then by all means get the 360.

Don't buy Xbox. IIn 2008 there will be more than 300 titles for PS3. PS3 is much more powerful. In fact, there is no game on the market, that uses all of PS3 capabilities.

Don't get the 360, instead you should get the wii. It has the best gaming technolgy out there so far. Even though the graphics aren't as good as the playstation3

just get a crappy job, work enough to get your x-box 360, then quit.
or, you could always beg for all it's worth for it and luckily, you'll get it for christmas.
good luck getting one dude, it cost $540 with taxes included.
