We think we will be rewarded in heaven and if we wasted our only life at least we had a try.

What do you mean "the grass is greener on the other side of the fence"?
For Christians the grass is greenest already in this life, we only have to wait a short while (the rest of our lives on earth) for eternal life in glory, that we anticipate, to become reality.
It will be very disappointing for the unbeliever if he has died without knowing Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord.
I certainly can`t agree with you about "my wasted life" on earth if I live it for the Lords glory.
I will pray for your salvation.
Peace.

yes life after death is wishful thinking.
i wish there was such a thing, but there probably isnt.
and christians will probably say that they havent wasted there lives.
but they have wasted a large chunk.
say they become religious age 20.
go to church for an hour a week until they are 70.
they have wasted 2600 hours of there lives.
over 108 days.
personally, i would rather do someting fun!

I believe in an eternity...but, I also believe that this life is a gift from God...to be lived, and enjoyed....so many fundies do not get this though....they are all gloom and doom...and only look to men on this earth...and think it is a terrible place.
But, I thank God each and every day for the beauty of the earth, the changing of the seasons, for the good deeds that people do, for the kindness of strangers, etc...there is much good that happens....but, many have their sights on ly on the bad...it is a shame....they are wasting this life.

Why would you want to take away hope? Why not start with all the kids who believe in Santa Claus and take away their hope....if you are so into speaking the truth out of "love".......then at least they would be more prepared to receive Jesus and you could dispel a real lie and be fullfilled.
See what I mean, Jelly Bean?

Sorry to answer a question with a question, but if a person is doing what they believe to be good and righteous, have they actually wasted their life?

Lardy there is no doubt in my mind that there is hope in our life to come. But I'm not sure it's greener, just different. I wonder what your motivation is in your last comment.

no~ peace follows turmoil
and life we must grab onto any peace that is offered to us
and if that means that there is a greater meaning to it all
so be it
