Nope, total waste of money. I really dislike FreeCreditReport.com because the name is meant to fool people into thinking that's the site for the free reports. Go to AnnualCreditReport.com.

If you space out your free reports from each of the three credit bureaus, that's all the monitoring you really need.

It depends on why you think you need it. You are entitled to review your credit report for free from each of the 3 credit reporting agencies once a year. Most people like to review their credit reports from two to four times a year to catch any discrepancies and to make sure that your identity hasn't been stolen. I am assuming that FreeCreditReport.com allows you to review your credit reports any time that you want. If that is the case, then you would pay $144 for this privilege. If you want to review your credit report 4 times a year, it would cost you $30 each time for all 3 reports through Transunion, but you get one free, so it would only be $90, much cheaper than the service. Just giving you your options!

you don't really need all that stuff they want to sell you.
it's true you can get a free credit report once a year from all three credit bureaus, but watch out all of them want to sell you your credit score, don't go for it. there are actually toll free telephone numbers for all three of these agencies. that's how i get mine every year from all three. when you get each report check them over item by item. sometimes they have incorrect
listings so you will then have to contact WHICHEVER ones have the incorrect info. I've had to do that several times.
and just because it's right this year doesn't mean it will be right next year. they're not probably charging you $12.00
for the FREE REPORT but for some other bologna you don't really need. 1-800-916-8800 1-877-322-8228 1-800-888-4213 i believe these are the correct numbers to call. I'm not sure that ALL states are entitled to a free report.
they'll ask you questions about your state i believe. i live in n.j. and am entitled to them. good luck

No! Go to annualcreditreport.com and you can get a free report once a year from each of the three reporting bureaus. That gives you three reports absolutely free per year. If you want your credit score, it's a small amount extra.

It depends on what your needs are. If you are trying to rebuild credit and want to know everytime your report is accessed and what changes are being made, then $12 a month is a small price to pay. If you just want to know your score, then you are entitled to it once a year for free.
