Im sure a few of you know what Im talking about.

On a bookshelf in the library they have those things that keep the book from toppling over if there is an empty space on one side or the other. It just holds it up by tucking under the books, along with a wall to hold them up.

I'd like to search ebay, but cant think of the name. I've tried searching for "bookshelf stops" and "bookshelf holder" and cant find them. I'd feel kind of foolish calling up Barnes & Noble or the Library just to ask.

Any ideas?

Try using the word 'bookends' ... but also put the words 'bookend clamps' in as a second 'search' ... you may get a better 'catch' on the items you want. I've seen them for sale in catalogues ... we get them from Blair and also from Columbia House, so if you can't find what you want on ebay, try the websites for both of those businesses. On the Blair site, look under 'home' ... on the Columbia House site, I don't have a clue, but I do know that they sell them, too.

Here's a pair of them on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/BOOKENDS-METAL-BLACK-5-PAIR-LOT-4-PAIR_W0QQitemZ290150628641QQihZ019QQcategoryZ20551QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I bet you can find them at Office Depot or Staples, too. Yup, and they're cheaper: http://www.staples.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/StaplesSearch?keyword=bookends&storeId=10001&catalogId=10051&langId=-1&errorUrl=searchnoresults&searchSumUrl=searchresultssummary&searchUnsumUrl=searchresults&fromUrl=home
